Period and cycle tracking

Most calendars assume a 28-day cycle. Yours may not follow one, and that is normal. Pregmate predicts your period, estimated fertile window, and ovulation days from your own logged history. The more cycles you record, the sharper the forecasts get.

Clear reports show your cycle length, period length, and how both change over time. If a cycle falls outside the typical range of 21 to 35 days, or a period runs shorter or longer than the typical 2 to 7 days, the app flags it. That flag is not a diagnosis, it is a data point worth bringing to your healthcare provider if it keeps showing up.

Ovulation test scanner

The ovulation test scanner is one of Pregmate's core features, and the reason many people download the app in the first place.

It works from a photo. Take a photo of your LH test strip and the app automatically calculates the T/C ratio by comparing the intensity of the test line with the control line. It also gives you an easy-to-understand explanation of your result and saves it to your test history.

LH levels typically rise before ovulation. Tracking your T/C ratio over several days helps you see how your LH surge is progressing, which makes changes easier to interpret than relying only on a visual comparison of the test lines.

Prefer to enter results manually? You can log them without using the scanner, and every result is saved in the same test history, keeping all your records in one place.

Ovulation and fertility tracking

Ovulation tests provide valuable information about your fertile window, but they are only one part of understanding your cycle. Pregmate also lets you log other observations that help you build a more complete record of your menstrual cycle:

  • Basal body temperature (BBT). Chart your daily temperature next to your cycle data.
  • Cervical mucus. Record changes throughout your cycle, especially if you're trying to conceive.
  • 30+ symptoms. Mood, cramps, energy, and more, so patterns show up instead of hiding in memory.
  • Intercourse log. Keep timing information together with the rest of your cycle records.

Viewed together, these observations and your test results can help you better understand your cycle and recognize patterns over time, rather than relying on any single observation alone.

Pregnancy tracking

Your pregnancy tests, saved and organized

Keep a record of every pregnancy test in one place. Add a photo if you’d like, and each entry is saved with the date it was logged, making it easy to review your test history over time instead of keeping used tests on the bathroom shelf.

From positive test to due date

After you log a positive pregnancy test, Pregmate switches to Pregnancy Mode. It estimates your due date based on the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) and follows your pregnancy week by week. Your cycle history stays with you, so there's no need to re-enter your information or switch to a separate pregnancy app.

Reminders that respect your schedule

Pregmate helps you stay on top of the important moments in your cycle by reminding you when it's time to take an ovulation test, when your fertile window begins, and when your next period is expected. You can customize reminder days and times to fit your schedule.

Tests without the extra store run

Running low on strips mid-cycle is the worst possible timing. The in-app shop carries Pregmate ovulation and pregnancy test kits, so you can reorder before you run out and keep testing without a gap.

What tracking gives you

Cycle tracking has quietly become one of the most common health habits there is. A 2024 analysis of menstrual tracking app reviews by researchers at the University of Oxford and UCL found that understanding the cycle itself was the most common reason for use, reported by 61% of reviewers, with planning a pregnancy second at 22%. Whichever group you are in, the more you understand your cycle, the fewer surprises it holds. That understanding can help you recognize patterns over time and make more informed decisions about your reproductive health.

One app, from first log to due date

The Pregmate app is free to download on iOS and Android, and it works with the same Pregmate strips you may already have at home.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Pregmate app free?

The Pregmate app is free to download on iOS and Android. You can log your cycle, scan ovulation tests, and track symptoms from the start. Some advanced features are part of a paid subscription.

Does the app scan pregnancy tests too?

No. The scanner reads ovulation (LH) tests and calculates a T/C ratio. Pregnancy tests are not scanned, you log them yourself, with a photo or a manual entry, and the app saves each one to your test history.

Does the scanner work with other brands of ovulation strips?

The scanner is built for Pregmate strips and reads most standard LH strips too. If you prefer, you can skip the scanner and enter any result by hand, and it still lands in the same history.

Is Pregmate available on Android?

Yes. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, and your data syncs to your account either way.

Do I need Pregmate test strips to use the app?

No. The app works with manual logging on its own. Test strips add confirmation, a scanned LH result is direct evidence of where you are in your cycle, but they are optional.
