Product info

Pregmate Ovulation Test Strips with Numeric Results detect luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine at 25 mIU/mL sensitivity. Unlike basic strips that give you two lines to compare, numeric strips come with a numbered color chart, so you can estimate your LH level and watch your surge build instead of squinting at line darkness.

A rising reading means your fertile window is opening. Once you reach your surge, ovulation usually happens within 24–48 hours, so your peak reading marks your most fertile days.

Each strip is individually sealed. Results in 5 minutes.

  • Format: dip strip with numeric LH reading

  • Hormone detected: LH (Luteinizing Hormone)

  • Sensitivity: 25 mIU/mL

  • Result time: 5 minutes

  • Storage: room temperature, away from heat and moisture

  • Sizes available: 25, 50, 100 strips

When to start testing

Find your start day by subtracting 17 from your usual cycle length. For a 28-day cycle, that's day 11. Test daily for at least 5 days or until your LH level peaks.

If your cycle length varies, use your shortest recent cycle to find your start day.

Testing tips
  • Test at the same time every day so your readings are easy to compare
  • Avoid first-morning urine. Test between 10 AM and 8 PM, when LH is easier to detect
  • Reduce liquids 2 hours before testing to avoid diluting the sample
  • When your LH level starts to rise, test twice a day to catch your peak
  • Each strip is for single use only
Shipping info

How to use ovulation test strips with numeric results

Your LH surge signals that ovulation is near, so daily testing helps you catch your best days.

Pregmate app

Your cycle, month by month

Every scan is saved with its T/C ratio. Over time, you'll see when you usually ovulate and your predicted fertile window.

How to read your result

Match your test line to the numbered color chart to read your approximate LH level. The higher the number, the closer you are to your surge.

"A rising LH value means your fertile window is opening. You don't need to wait for the highest possible number. Test at the same time each day and act on the climb, not just the peak." — Inna Galitsky, MD, PhD

Numeric Results are helpful but not worth the extra price

I wanted the numeric results to help track what my levels look like leading up to the spike; however it's a bit misleading because the results are not actually numeric, as in nothing about the test itself shows a number - the kit just came with paper guide with a range of numbers and colors so you that you have to figure it out on your own based on lining up the color to the numbers on the paper. I personally don't think it's worth the extra price - I would have loved something built into the test so I'm not comparing the color in different lighting to guess what the number is, but good to know that I can just buy the cheaper version in the future since I already have the more expensive part: a piece of paper.

Love

These test strips have worked great for us! I used every day, taped strip to a paper with date for record. On the day of ovulation it showed a darker color compared to the other days. We got pregnant 2 years ago using these. Now, I'm using to keep track of ovulation. Love them.

Frequently asked questions

Still need help?

Contact our team
How are numeric strips different from basic ovulation strips?

Both detect LH at 25 mIU/mL. Basic strips show two lines you read as positive or negative. Numeric strips add a numbered color chart, so you can estimate your LH level and watch it climb toward your peak, which helps if your surge is short.

How do I read the color chart?

Match your test line to the closest shade on the included chart. Below 25 means LH is still low. At or above 25 means your surge has started and ovulation is likely within 24–48 hours. Your highest reading of the cycle is your peak. If your line falls between two shades, use the value in between.

Can I use numeric strips if I have PMOS (formerly PCOS)?

You can, but results may be harder to read. People with PMOS (formerly PCOS) often have higher baseline LH or more than one rise per cycle, so several readings can look high. Tracking basal body temperature (BBT) or asking your provider about a progesterone test can help confirm ovulation.

Are Pregmate ovulation tests HSA/FSA eligible?

Yes. Pregmate ovulation tests are eligible for HSA and FSA funds. Available through Walmart, Amazon, Target, and CVS.
